(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Everett J. Stephens, 53, of Roanoke, TX, passed from this life on Monday evening, October 11, 2021 while at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO.
Everett was born on January 31, 1968 in Whiteville, NC, son of the late Harry Simmons and Ruth Stephens Mack. Everett graduated from West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo, NC.
Everett worked for twelve years at Certified Express as truck driver, traveling and enjoying the country. He enjoyed listening and producing his music on the internet. Everett was a member of the NRA and collected guns. He found cryptocurrency interesting and was a regular investor. He and his wife, Michelle, enjoyed spending quality time at the gym.
On June 25, 2016 in Joplin, MO, Everett and Michelle Coatney were united in marriage. They were blessed with countless blessings and wonderful memories made together.
Everett is survived by his wife, Michelle; his son, Jarrett Stephens of Waterbury, CT; two step-sons, Joshua Coatney of Pierce City, MO and Blake Winsea and wife Stephanie of Girard, KS; two step-daughters, Jade Adams and husband Michael of Pierce City, MO and Macy Olinger of Granby, MO; eleven grandchildren, Levi, Ian, Paxton, Liam, Elizabeth, Holly, Micah, Finn, Lucario, Delilah and Owen; two brothers, Roderick Mack and wife Natalie of Killeen, TX and Harold Simmons of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Dwella Hall and husband Raymond of Chadbourn, NC and Keena Simmons of East Orange, NJ.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Franklin Mack; and grandmother, Blanchie Stephens.
Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, Missouri.
