Bill Johnson

William C. (Bill) Johnson, age 64, went to his heavenly home on October 7, 2021.

Bill was born on June 16, 1957, to Nellie and Jack Johnson. He was a lifelong resident of the area working for Robertson Press and as an independent contractor. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and volunteer for Boy Scouts of America troop 39. He was known for his selfless service to others, an ability to befriend anyone, and his irrepressible love for life. Bill was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather.








He is survived by the love of his life, Maggie Johnson. His children, daughter Tabitha Carr, her husband Rush, grandson Kian Carr, and son Joshua Johnson, who were the pride and joy of his life. Additional survivors include siblings Beverly Lett, and her husband Steve, Robert Sherman, Jackie McGuirk, Netta Sours, and her husband Scott, Christie Thomas, Brian Thomas, Mary Alicia Johnson, and Duane Johnson. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Danny Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 6 P.M. at Christ’s Church of Joplin with the memorial service following at 7 P.M. A private family committal of ashes will be held at Ozark Memorial Park at a later date.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
