(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Carl C. Brandon, age 92 of Carterville, MO passed away peacefully on October 6, 2021.
Carl was born on September 25, 1929 to his parents Carl C. Brandon Sr. and Fannie Mae (Tonpkins) Brandon. Carl married the love of his life Lorene Vickers.
Carl was a medic for the U.S. Army before working for Tradex Sales for over 30 years where he eventually retired. In Carl’s spare time he volunteered at the Webb City Senior Center, loved cars, and watching sports of all kinds.
Surviving family includes three children; James Spencer, Ronda Smith, and Clifford Friend, sixteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl Sr. and Fannie Mae Brandon, two brothers; Warren Brandon and Blackey Brandon, and three children; Sharon Barker, Carol Newman, and Larry Friend.
Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial following the service will be in Noel, Missouri at Noel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends during visitation at the Mason-Woodard Chapel from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Masonic Lodge 335 in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
