(From Simpson Funeral Home)Mattie Alene Pearson age 95 of Webb City, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021. She was born on May 19, 1926 to Oran F. Harper and Ethel (Miller) Harper in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
Mattie was an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for over 31 years before she retired. She graduated from Caldwell High School and was a member of Cleora Baptist Church in Cleora, Oklahoma.
Mattie was preceded in death by her husband Dale Pearson on July 12, 1992, her parents, a son, Butch Pearson, and 3 siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Mowery of Webb City; a son, Jack Pearson of Webb City; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren along with many other extended family members.
A viewing will be held at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM in Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas.
Mattie was one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet and she will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.
