Lidia Rios

Lidia A. Rios, age 58, of Joplin, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Mrs. Rios, daughter of Guillermo Jaramillo, of Wichita Falls, Tx, and the late Florencia (Del Rio) Jaramillo, was born on August 3, 1963 in Monterrey, Mexico. Lidia and her husband, Enrique Rios, enjoyed 40 years together in marriage. Upon starting their family in Austin, TX, they relocated to Joplin, MO, in 1992, where she spent the remainder of her days beloved by many in her community. She worked for the Joplin Department of Motor Vehicles, with her last employment being at Tamko Building Products in Joplin.








When Lidia wasn’t working, her family and serving others came first. Her passion was cooking. The kitchen was her domain and as the matriarch of the family, her kitchen and her cooking were always filled with love. She knew food brought people together and united her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Enrique Rios, of Joplin; two daughters, Lea Denise Rios, of Joplin, and Nikki Rios, and her husband, Steve Mutuku, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and one son, Micah Rios, of Kansas City.

A virtual Memorial mass will be held every day from Oct 11, 2021 until Oct 19, 2021, 9 occurrence(s) at 7:00 PM. A physical Memorial service to celebrate her legacy will be held Nov 20th, 2021, with the location to be determined.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
